Located in Bristol, Esme Littlechild is a developing artist who explores the themes of sustainability and community especially around women, which is crucial in today’s climate. Considerations within materiality and eco friendly practices enhance these connections within her work, examples include making seed paper, exploring anthrotypes and cyanotypes and using seeds generated from community groups within her projects. She utilises these processes through facilitating workshops and teaching back into the community the magical process of cyanotype.

Moreover, her more recent work dissects these themes through her deeply personal, multidisciplinary approach of deconstructing her family archive. Here she creates a conversation around how we perceive and relate to our bodies through the paradoxical relationship between feminine beauty and family heritage.
